Our customer operated five laboratories across the United States and faced a challenge responding to demand. Their personnel were spending a lot of manual effort on scheduling, intake of new patients, transferring information manually to their LIS (laboratory information system), and communicating results to patients in a timely manner. 

This process became even more strained during the COVID-19 pandemic. When the number of requests surged, causing a bottleneck, and restricting the number of patients they could accommodate. 

Varyence architected, built and deployed a solution that addressed their challenges with patient scheduling and manual entry between their scheduling and LIS platform. This automation enabled them to scale without adding requisite personnel to handle more manual tasks.

Varyence developed an RPA (robotic process automation) solution that automated work intake, lab testing results, and syncing of data between disparate systems and the Laboratory Information System.
